The Thunder emailed season ticket holders Wednesday with refund options for the eight remaining home games. The value of the tickets will either be reimbursed or used as credit toward 2020-21 season tickets.
An “overwhelming majority” opted to apply the money as credit for season tickets next season, said Dan Mahoney, the Thunder’s vice president of broadcasting and corporate communications.
“Encouraged but not surprised,” Mahoney said of the early response. “Our season ticket members are loyal ... They're with us through thick and thin and always have been.”
Forbes, in a list published this week, ranked the Thunder’s fan base as eighth-best among the 123 teams that comprise the NBA, NFL, NHL and MLB.
