Thunder Rookie Thomas Sorber Out for Season with Torn ACL

Oklahoma City’s first-round pick Thomas Sorber will miss the entire 2025-26 season after suffering a torn ACL in his right knee during an offseason workout in Oklahoma City.

The Thunder has navigated this issue multiple times in recent seasons. Chet Holmgren lost his entire first season to a foot injury, Nikola Topiu0107 sat out the entire 2024-25 season due to a torn ACL, and now Sorber will miss his entire rookie season.

Despite the loss, the 2024-25 NBA Champions return Holmgren, Isaiah Hartenstein, Jaylin Williams, and Kenrich Williams in the frontcourt as the team attempts to defend its title.
