For the first time since Alex Abrines and the Thunder worked out his release in February due to what the team called “personal issues,” Abrines has spoken publicly.
The 25-year-old shooting guard released a video on his Twitter and Instagram accounts Wednesday morning announcing his return to basketball while opening up about some of the personal issues he faced over his final season with the Thunder.
The video is in Spanish with English subtitles, and is entitled “Dear ball.”
Said Abrines: “What a mess! So much time spent together and now you do this to me.
