NEW ORLEANS — Alex Abrines came off a screen, his man struggling to keep up, took one dribble and went for it.
Abrines charged down the lane and threw down a dunk early in the second quarter of the Thunder's 118-114 loss that charged up what had been an otherwise dull game.
It had been a dull offensive stretch from Abrines since returning from a viral illness which kept him out of three games in mid-November. In the eight games before Wednesday, Abrines was shooting just 29.4 percent and averaging 3.9 points per game.
Abrines had five points just a few possessions into the start of the second quarter.
