Thunder faces the Raptors without two of its top 3 scorers

TORONTO -- Thunder coach Billy Donovan stands by his decision to play Dennis Schroder in the Thunder’s overtime win at Charlotte Friday.

“A lot of that … has to come down to the player, who is very involved in the conversation, and also the medical staff,” Donovan said Sunday.

Schroder (right ankle soreness) is out Sunday at Toronto. He was questionable before Friday’s game with the same injury. He played 35 minutes and was the Thunder’s second-leading scorer (24 points), behind only Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (27).

Donovan said Schroder was cleared to play without restrictions Friday.

“When a player says he feels like he can play and he wants to play,” Donovan said, “we’re generally going to do that.
