Thunder cracks the NBA top 10 -- but barely

The post-season has arrived for the Thunder, which means the regular season is in the books. OKC clocked a 47-35 record, which frankly is good for how the Thunder played.

The Thunder averaged 106.6 points a game and allowed 105.8 points a game. That’s a point differential of plus-0.8.

A team with a plus-0.8 usually isn’t 12 games above .500. That’s more the characteristics of a 45-37 team. For example, last season, Portland was plus-0.8 and finished 44-38.

But in 2014-15, New Orleans was plus-0.8 and went 45-37. Washington was plus-0.7 and went 46-36. In 2012-13, Golden State was plus-0.
