A hidden element of NBA schedules is the seasonal rotation of conference opponents.
Each team plays its divisional rivals four times each. Each team plays non-conference opponents twice each. That leaves 36 games to be divided among the other 10 teams in the conference. So six opponents are played four times and four opponents are played three times.
And in the 2018-19 season, the Thunder comes out rather well.
The Thunder’s four West teams it plays only thrice each are the Warriors, the Lakers, the Spurs and the Grizzlies. The Thunder draws Phoenix and Sacramento four times each.
