CLEVELAND — The stoppage in play was for “infection control.” Cavs big man Tristan Thompson had blood on his right arm, but the booming public announcer might as well have been talking about the Thunder's offense running wild through Quicken Loans Arena in the first half.
On this matinee Saturday, the Thunder's passing was infectious. It's offense was uncontrollable. OKC was insatiable for points in a 148-124 blowout of the Cavaliers.
Immediately after the second-quarter stoppage, Russell Westbrook went to a Thunder staple. He curled left off a Steven Adams screen and Adams rolled right unmolested, which would become a common theme for Thunder players in a first-half explosion.
