Oklahoma City, Friday, July 22, 2016 – Oklahoma City Thunder radio game broadcasts will return to KYAL-FM (97.1 FM) The Sports Animal in Tulsa beginning with the 2016-17 NBA season, it was announced today by the Thunder and Stephens Family LP of Tulsa.
"We are thrilled to return to the Sports Animal in Tulsa where our game broadcasts were heard for our first five years. It provides us a broad radio reach throughout northeastern Oklahoma, where we have a loyal and passionate fan base," said Dan Mahoney, vice president of Broadcasting for the Thunder. "Via our flagship station, The Sports Animal in Oklahoma City, and our affiliates we are able to cover the state with Thunder Basketball on the radio.
