Less than two months ago, Andre Roberson tried to hold back a smile as he told reporters that he felt good on the court.
“I can’t put a timeline on it, honestly,” he said of returning from injury. “But it’s coming pretty soon.”
The Thunder’s announcement Tuesday suggested Roberson’s optimism for an impending return had yet again faded. Roberson will now handle his injury rehabilitation in Los Angeles, a team spokesperson said Tuesday, for a change of scenery. There is no timetable for his return, either to OKC or to play.
“It’s probably pretty s--- to be in that sort of situation,” said Steven Adams, who has been Roberson’s teammate since their 2013-14 rookie season.
