This time, LeBron isn't likely to get the best of Durant

Kevin Durant scored 36 points on 12-of-20 shooting, had eight rebounds and four assists in Game 1 of the NBA Finals. His team outscored LeBron’s team by 15 points with Durant on the court, in a dominant, 105-94 victory.

Wait. My numbers are off, you say? No they aren’t. That’s Durant’s line from Game 1 of the 2012 NBA Finals.

You want Durant’s numbers from Game 1 of the 2017 NBA Finals? Somewhat similar: 38 points on 14-of-26 shooting, eight rebounds, eight assists, plus-16 with him on the court in an eventual 113-91 victory over LeBron.

The biggest difference, of course, is that Durant was a Thunder in 2012.
