DETROIT – Terrance Ferguson took one big step and let fly a shot from beyond halfcourt. It missed, but that wasn’t important.
Ferguson was moving around and laughing. So was Hamidou Diallo. After suffering left ankle sprains against Golden State nearly two weeks ago, the two 20-year-olds appear ready to get back on the court for the Thunder.
Thunder coach Billy Donovan said Ferguson and Diallo both went through shootaround without any issues, and will be reevaluated before tonight’s game against the Pistons.
Donovan said there were encouraging signs from Diallo considering the rookie wasn’t able to complete practice on Sunday after experiencing some soreness during contact portions.
