Strange but true: Durant indicts the organization, not the city

Think back to the past. To the days when Kevin Durant's departure was not reality but only a benign fear. A so-you're-saying-there's-a-chance chance.

We didn't think Durant would leave. Didn't think he'd turn his back on what he had built. Didn't think Durant would walk away when he was oh so close to the summit.

But on the off chance that Durant did flee, we could sort of understand. A 28-year-old superstar who could live literally anywhere in the world he wanted might not choose Oklahoma City. Might forego Deep Deuce and Bricktown for Miami or LA, New York or the Bay Area.
