Status of Thunder-Trail Blazers game in hands of NBA, local government

The Thunder and Trail Blazers are still scheduled to play Tuesday night in Oklahoma City despite rolling blackouts being ordered and then rescinded earlier in the day to conserve power in the freezing temperatures.

"As per league policy, the decision on whether tonight’s game will be played rests solely with the NBA, in consultation with local government officials," Thunder vice president of broadcasting and corporate communications Dan Mahoney told The Oklahoman. "The Thunder will follow whatever directive and guidance we receive from the NBA."

The Pistons-Mavericks game scheduled for Wednesday night in Dallas has already been postponed due to a government shutdown of American Airlines Center.
