Trae Young’s peers say he’s the best shooter and the best playmaker in the NBA rookie class. But they don’t expect him to have the best season or the best career among first-year players.
The league’s annual rookie survey was released on Tuesday, and 47 percent of participants named Young — the former OU star and Atlanta Hawks point guard — the best shooter in the class. He was named the best playmaker by 35 percent of the voters.
But Young didn’t rank in the top five in votes for which rookie will have the best career.
