The OKC Thunder are among the highest priced teams in the Association and with two superstars that equates to a top heavy structure. This means Sam Presti has to find cost effective solutions to first fill the roster and second to fill it with assets who compliment Russell Westbrook and Paul George.
The 2018-19 Slam Dunk Champ Hamidou Diallo wowed OKC Thunder fans in small stints this season but never fully claimed a spot in the rotation. Almost in a reverse situation to Abdel Nader, Diallo appeared more frequently in the earlier portion of the season and by the end of January was often with the OKC Blue rather than the varsity team.
