Paul George keys Thunder victory over Milwaukee

The Milwaukee Bucks have the NBA’s best record, entering Chesapeake Arena with a 35-12 record Sunday night. But the Thunder beat the Bucks 118-112 in a rousing game that fortified hope that OKC can play with the league’s best squads.

Here are three quick takeaways from the Thunder victory:

* Paul George was fabulous down the stretch. The Thunder led 101-87 with six minutes left but let Milwaukee get back in the game. The Bucks scored on eight of nine possessions, and Eric Bledsoe’s 3-point with 1:09 drew Milwaukee within 110-107. But George, who had driven to a dunk on his previous possession, nailed a dead-eye 3-pointer to keep the Bucks at bay.
