The OKC Thunder signed Kevin Hervey to a two-way contract in an effort to shore up their forward depth with the spate of injuries and the recent suspension of Deonte Burton. Unfortunately, Hervey is still out with an ankle injury so he will not play for a little while.
The other factor to the thought process is that Thunder forward Danilo Gallinari is almost a lock to be traded. Signing another forward means that the Thunder are potentially able to be more creative for the package they can get back for him.
