The OKC Thunder didn’t do themselves any favors losing to the Memphis Grizzlies when you consider what is on the horizon. Credit where credit is due, the Grizzlies got embarrassed eight days ago when they lost a 24 point lead and came into OKC focused on making sure they got this win.
Fortunately, none of the chase pack fared any better. Each of the Portland Trail Blazers, San Antonio Spurs and Sacramento Kings also failed to win their games.
The resulting effect is basically everyone remains in a status quo position. Still, the Thunder need to win the games they should (on paper) to maintain an edge over their counterparts.
