It was a special day for the OKC Thunder on Monday, as Patrick Patterson and Hamidou Diallo helped give away over 400 Turkey to veterans and their families. The event was a part of the 11th annual Holiday Assist, which continues into December with Christmas festivities.
Fans also pitched into the effort, donating canned goods for local food banks on various promotional nights at Chesapeake Energy Arena earlier this month. The Holiday Assist will continue with a Thanksgiving party on November 13, when the entire Thunder roster will make an appearance to meet and play games with kids in the community.
