Good news abounds in Thunderland.
* The Thunder will make the playoffs. We’re pretty sure. OKC is 7-1/2 games ahead of ninth-place Sacramento. The magic number for the Thunder to eliminate the Kings is five – any combination of five Thunder wins or Sacramento losses eliminates the Kings. There’s no great optimism that the Thunder can find five wins in its remaining 11 games, but the 34-36 Kings are unlikely to win out.
* Nick Collison is in town for his big night; the first retired number, 4, in Thunder history will be unveiled.
* Russell Westbrook’s one-game suspension for the Miami game means the Thunder is off the hook for 1/82nd of Westbrook’s salary, which comes to $471,392 per game.
