OKC Thunder: Five takeaways from 76ers scrimmage

The rookies accounted for four of the Thunder’s 11 long-range makes.

Increased workload

The Thunder’s veteran starters were eased into the first scrimmage. Chris Paul played 18 minutes, and Steven Adams and Danilo Gallinari played 15.

All three played more than 20 minutes Sunday in the team’s second scrimmage. Billy Donovan said before tip-off that he wanted to stretch his starters into the third quarter to continue the slow ramp-up before the season restart Saturday.

Starting guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander played a team-high 25 minutes.

Noel returns

Backup center Nerlens Noel played 17 minutes Sunday after sitting out Friday with an ankle injury.
