The Thunder's longest-tenured player is back for at least one more season.
Nick Collison has agreed to return to Oklahoma City on a one-year deal, The Oklahoman confirmed Friday. Collison, 36, was a free agent, but he'll be back for his 15th NBA season with the same franchise in 2017-18.
Collison averaged just 6.4 minutes per game last season, the lowest of his career, but the Thunder sees him as someone who can still play and impact the team. With a logjam of younger forwards in front of him, Collison could find minutes hard to come by next season as well, but he could have the rare distinction of a decade-plus career with one franchise.
