As the NBA prepared to release its 2019-20 schedule Monday afternoon, another morsel leaked that morning.
The Thunder will face Houston on Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Jan. 20), according to a report by The Athletic’s Shams Charania. Other notable matchups that day include the Warriors and Trail Blazers, and the Lakers and Celtics.
It reportedly won’t be the first matchup between the Thunder and Rockets, who swapped veteran point guards this summer in a trade that sent Russell Westbrook to Houston for Chris Paul and a package of picks. Charania reported a week ago that Westbrook will return to Oklahoma City with Houston on Jan.
