Lightning Report: OKC Thunder need to execute better

Whereas in recent years the OKC Thunder’s offense was bogged down by terrible shot selection and an inability to adapt to the modern NBA, that hasn’t really been their issue this year. Their biggest issue is they just can’t hit shots. They’re shooting the fourth most shots in the league from the paint but only connecting on 62.1 percent–good for 15th in the league rankings–and that just doesn’t cut it.

Part of the problem is simply that the players who take the most shots, namely Russell Westbrook, Paul George, and Steven Adams, have never been great around the basket.
