Hawks All-Star Trae Young is available to play against the Thunder Friday, Atlanta coach Lloyd Pierce announced at morning shootaround.
Young, a former Norman North and Sooners star, missed the Hawks’ win over the Clippers Wednesday with a right thigh contusion. He was listed as questionable Thursday evening.
“It means a lot,” Young said of playing in Chesapeake Energy Arena. “I’m looking forward to playing here again. I only get to play here once a year, so I try to enjoy it every time I come down here. Last year when I left here, I went back to my seats where I sat growing up and just got to sit there, reminisce a little bit.
