On Saturday, I loaded up in a rented mini-van with fellow writers Brett Dawson and Erik Horne, plus photographer Sarah Phipps, and off we headed for the gulf metropolis. And this Thunder-Rockets playoff series is my fourth big event in Houston in the last 54 weeks.
The Final Four in April 2016. The OU-Houston season opener last Septemer. The Super Bowl in January/February. Now Thunder-Rockets. And I actually made two trips to the Super Bowl, going down for media day, then heading back home before returning for the game.
