It’s cliche to say that this was a must win, playoff-like game for the OKC Thunder. Much to the pleasure of NBA fans who stayed up to watch the ending, the game did not disappoint. The Thunder somehow escaped a raucous Portland Moda Center crowd and wrestled away a 129-121 overtime victory.
The game was intense from the onset. With both teams bringing the juice, we were poised for a great performance. Paul George and Russell Westbrook were sublime, as were Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum. The stars were shining brightly in the pacific northwest tonight.
After a foul-filled first half that found the Blazers up by 3 at the break, the OKC Thunder brought some much needed energy to their game in the second half.
