Former OKC Thunder Assistant Coach wins big after marvelous season

Anthony Grant, former OKC Thunder Assistant Coach has received top honors. He was named National Coach of the year by the United States Basketball Writers Association and Associated Press.

The current coach of the Dayton Flyers men’s basketball team also received the Atlantic 10 Conference Coach of the year.

Grant who was part of the OKC Thunder staff from 2015-17, led Dayton to 29 wins and only 2 losses this season. They set the new school record for victories in a season, passing the 1951-52 team that won 28 games.

Their 25 point victory over the George Washington Colonials in early March saw them become Atlantic 10 Conference regular-season champions.
