During Carmelo Anthony’s introductory press conference, one reporter made the silly mistake of asking Melo about moving to the bench.
Unsurprisingly, Carmelo Anthony laughed off the idea. Instinctively, Thunder fans assumed Paul George would have to lead the bench unit.
To be clear, this is not a discussion about superstars getting benched. Rather, it is about playing time, and captaining the second unit. The OKC Thunder have never had a strong bench creator. Even with Raymond Felton, the Thunder will probably still look to either one of Paul George or Carmelo Anthony to lead the offense.
