Well, another NBA playoff series in Dallas. The Thunder’s third in six seasons.
Frankly, I was hoping for Memphis. Nothing against Dallas the city. Not any kind of preference for the Grizzlies over the Mavericks as a first-round foe.
Just a change of scenery. We’re in Dallas all the time. OU football. OSU football. Big 12 football. Conferences. Conference issues. Memphis is a cool city that we don’t frequent much.
But Dallas it is. So Wednesday, A.C. Slater, Erik Horne and I headed down in a rented Volkswagen.
