Coronavirus in Oklahoma: Thunder COVID-19 tests come back negative

Thunder players and staff members have tested negative for COVID-19, the team announced Wednesday.

The Thunder said it followed infectious disease experts' recommendation on which players and staff members should be tested for COVID-19, the disease caused by the novel coronavirus. The team did not release the exact number of tests performed, but all players and a handful of staff members were tested, a Thunder spokesperson said. All tests came back negative.

The infectious disease experts' recommendation was based on possible exposure to the virus on March 11, when OKC's game against Utah was postponed just before tip-off in response to Jazz center Rudy Gobert testing positive for COVID-19.
