The Thunder has won six straight after a slump that dropped its record to 8-8. The Thunder’s last loss was the game that Anthony Morrow returned from Purgatory.
The Thunder sharpshooter replaced Alex Abrines as Billy Donovan’s off-the-bench marksman. And in that game, a 15-point loss at Sacramento the night before Thanksgiving, Morrow made his first 3-pointer of the season. He had missed his first 11 long-distance attempts of the season.
Of course, Morrow has offensive value even when he’s not making shots. His reputation as one of the NBA’s most accurate 3-point shooters of all time spreads the floor and gives Russell Westbrook, Steven Adams and Andre Roberson room to work.
