Thunder vs. Spurs Preview & Prediction

The Oklahoma City Thunder are struggling to hold onto the No. 8 seed in the Western Conference as they've lost five of their last six games, while the San Antonio Spurs have already clinched a playoff berth and are trying to move up from the No. 6 seed.

Projected Starting Lineups

Oklahoma City Thunder (42-35)

G Russell Westbrook – 27.7 ppg, 8.7 apg, 7.3 rpg, 2.08 spg

G Dion Waiters - 11.9 ppg, 2.7 rpg

F Kyle Singler - 4.1 ppg, 2.3 rpg

F Enes Kanter - 18.4 ppg, 11.6 rpg

C Steven Adams - 7.8 ppg, 7.4 rpg

San Antonio Spurs (51-26)

G Danny Green – 12.1 ppg, 4.4 rpg

F Kawhi Leonard - 16.3 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 2.3 spg

F Tim Duncan - 13.7 ppg, 9.1 rpg

C Tiago Splitter – 8.2 ppg, 4.8 rpg

What to watch for:

Who will help Russell Westbrook?

Westbrook has been on a historic hot streak since the Thunder announced Kevin Durant would miss the rest of the season, yet OKC keeps losing because he doesn't get much help from his teammates. Enes Kanter is starting to find his groove with his new team, but they haven't been getting much production from the rest of the roster. The Thunder will need a third player to step up and have a big game if they want to win this game.

Prediction: Spurs win 108-102

Oklahoma City just hasn't been able to get it together during the past couple of weeks, and the defending champs won't give them a chance.
