It is a generally accepted idea you won’t win a national championship with a two quarterback system. However, coach Urban Meyer has proven it can be done. And now he has two quarterbacks with similar talents to the ones he won the title with the first time around.
Cardale Jones is a pro style quarterback along the lines of Chris Leak who started for the 2006 University of Florida National Championship team. And like Jones, Leak took the majority of the snaps during the game but there were packages put in, particularly in the red zone, for freshman Tim Tebow to use his special talents.
