Rebels of UNLV Outmatched by Ohio State in 54-21 Beatdown

By Michael Bohm

UNLV’s reputation had preceded them going into Saturday’s noon matchup, after losing the single largest upset in history to Howard on opening weekend. However, they brought a high-flying passing attack that surely would have given the Buckeyes fits…If they could actually get their passes off.

Not to mention, two Buckeye offense records were set en route to a 54-21 slaughtering.

Three quarterbacks, 13 receivers, six ball-carriers…the ball was certainly spread around the field plenty Saturday for the Buckeyes.

JT Barrett and the Ohio State offense were rolling early, after a short completion to Parris Campbell turned into a 69-yard touchdown and Johnnie Dixon dove into the end zone to make the score 14-0 in the first.
