This weekend, the #10 Buckeyes (#3 in the MIVA) completed their regular season with a road trip to the State of Illinois to play the top two teams in the conference #2 Lewis University and #5 Loyola University.
In mid-March, Ohio State beat Lewis 3-2 and lost to Loyola 3-0, both matches in Columbus in Columbus. Things didn’t go that well on this weekend, with Ohio State dropping both matches 3-0.
Ohio State ended the regular season 21-9, 11-5. Although the weekend losses are disappointing, there really wasn’t anything lost in terms of conference positioning. Ohio State entered the weekend in 3rd place in the conference and left it in 3rd place in the conference.
