Ohio State's Offensive Problems in the Big Ten Title Game Extended Beyond the Red Zone

Welcome (back) to the Coroner's office.

Film Study

As is custom following the rare occasions in which Ryan Day and co. lose a football game, our office tends to be a very popular space. Unfortunately, identifying the cause of death for Ohio State's Big Ten championship hopes is equal parts simple and complex, following a(nother) 13-10 loss in which the defense more than did it's part while Day's offense seemed to disappear.

The most obvious question has surrounded the use of heavy, multiple-tight end sets in the red zone, which turned the game into a pushing contest the Buckeyes failed to win.
