Ohio State’s Jantel Lavender joins Big Ten Network’s women’s basketball coverage

On Tuesday, the Big Ten Network announced the names of the on-air talent that will be leading their coverage of the conference’s men’s and women’s basketball seasons. From a Buckeye perspective, Ohio State Athletics Hall of Famer Jantel Lavender is joining the network as an analyst.

During her playing career from 2008-11, Lavender became the only B1G basketball player — male or female — to ever earn four Big Ten Player of the Year awards, and the only woman to ever accomplish the feat in a Power Five conference.

Additionally, she was just OSU’s second three-time All-American in women’s basketball program history.
