Ohio State WR Michael Thomas declares for the 2016 NFL Draft

Ohio State standout wide receiver Michael Thomas made it official today, declaring for the 2016 NFL draft, foregoing what would have been his senior season. Thomas is expected to be among the first wide receivers taken.

Thomas capped off his Ohio State career by catching seven passes for 72 yards and a touchdown against Notre Dame and had a season total of 56 catches for 781 yards and nine touchdowns.

A member of the 2012 recruiting class, Thomas attended Fork Union Military Academy before coming to Columbus and posting three catches his freshman season. Thomas' career appeared to be at a standstill in 2013, as the Buckeyes opted to redshirt the talented receiver.
