Ohio State women's basketball | Buckeyes brush off second-half rally

The Ohio State women's basketball team had to weather a flurry second-half of three-pointers from Virginia on Monday night in Value City Arena before pulling away to a 93-73 victory.

The ninth-ranked Buckeyes (8-3) had five players score in double figures led by Ameryst Alston with 24 and Kelsey Mitchell with 23 in the final non-conference game of the regular season.

The Cavaliers trailed 43-29 at the half, but came out firing from beyond the arc in the third quarter. They attempted and made five three-pointers to cut the deficit to 66-57 heading into the fourth quarter.
