Ohio State To Hire Jake Diebler As Assistant Coach

Chris Holtmann plans to fill the assistant coach spot vacated by Mike Schrage with Jake Diebler, a former Vanderbilt assistant coach, per reports. Evan Daniels of 247Sports was first to report the hire.

The addition of Diebler, a native of Upper Sandusky, Ohio, fills out Ohio State's coaching staff, which also included Ryan Pedon and Terry Johnson.

Diebler most recently worked as an assistant coach at Vanderbilt, which hired him in the spring of 2016. Prior to that stint, he worked as a video coordinator on Thad Matta's staff at Ohio State from 2013 to 2016.
