Ohio State is about to clinch its berth in the Big Ten Championship Game.
According to multiple reports, the Big Ten has decided to erase the six-game requirement to be eligible for this year's conference championship game, clearing the path for Ohio State to represent the Big Ten East next week in Indianapolis even though the Buckeyes have played only five games. The decision still has to be formally approved on Wednesday afternoon, but that's expected to happen.
The vote is considered a formality, which will lead to Ohio State playing Northwestern in the Big Ten title game.
