The annual tradition of the “Mirror Lake jump” is not an officially sanctioned event by Ohio State, but for the third straight year, the school will be making sure that only students participate in the mayhem. Sunday, OSU announced that anyone wishing to get in on the yearly tradition will need to show their Buck ID at the Ohio Union Information Center or the RPAC Welcome Center to obtain their wristband. OSU’s Department of Public Safety announced the requirement of wristbands as a safety enhancement measure, adding the university does not encourage students to make the jump.
