Ohio State Recruiting: DE joins teammate in 2019 class

Four-star defensive end Noah Potter committed to play for the Buckeyes today. He joins high school teammate Ryan Jacoby to become the fifth member of the 2019 Ohio State recruiting class.

Potter is from Mentor, Ohio and has been a high priority target for Urban Meyer. He is 6-5, 250 pounds, ranked the No. 18 SDE and the No. 240 player overall.

Because Potter is an in-state recruit, and Jacoby was already committed to the class, it was fairly certain Urban Meyer would land the defensive end. But the head coach had an ace in the hole as well, another Buckeye who I’m sure had some influence on Potter’s decision.
