Ohio State Quarterback Julian Sayin Named Big Ten Freshman of the Week

Julian Sayin is Ohio State’s first Big Ten Player of the Week in the 2025 season.

Following his near-perfect performance against Grambling State on Saturday, the Big Ten named Sayin its Freshman of the Week.

Sayin started the game with an Ohio State record 16 consecutive completions. His 17th pass attempt was his lone mistake on Saturday, as Grambling State cornerback Tyrell Raby intercepted his pass intended for Carnell Tate. Sayin then completed two more passes to Tate and Brandon Inniss to finish the evening 18-of-19 passing for 306 yards and four touchdowns.

“I had a lot of fun today,” Sayin said of his performance.
