Ohio State Quarterback J.T. Barrett Named Semifinalist for Davey O'Brien Award

Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett was named a semifinalist for the Davey O'Brien Award on Thursday afternoon. The O'Brien Award recognizes the top quarterback in college football at the end of the season.

This is hardly a surprise.

The Buckeyes' signal caller is among the nation's best, and he's shown it throughout the year. Barrett is completing 64.5 percent of his passes this season for Ohio State while throwing for 1,965 yards and 21 touchdowns against just four interceptions. Additionally, Barrett has 570 rushing yards and six additional scores.
