Ohio State Quarterback Commit Tate Martell Named MaxPreps National Player of the Year

Ohio State quarterback commit Tate Martell has been named the MaxPreps National Player of the Year.

The 5-foot-11, 203-pound Martell threw for 2,363 yards and 41 touchdowns and rushed for 1,256 yards and 21 touchdowns this season while leading Las Vegas, Nevada, Bishop Gorman to its eighth-consecutive state title and third-straight mythical national championship.

This marks the third national honor for Martell, who was also named the top player in the country by Gatorade and USA TODAY Sports.
