Ohio State Misses NCAA Tournament For First Time Since 2008

The NCAA tournament bracket was officially revealed Sunday evening. Ohio State was not one of the 68 teams included in the field.

It’s hardly surprising, of course, as the Buckeyes were bounced from the Big Ten tournament Friday in the quarterfinals by Michigan State in an 81-54 loss. Ohio State currently sits with a 20-13 record on the year.

Michigan State, Purdue, Iowa, Wisconsin, Maryland, Indiana and Michigan all made the field from the Big Ten.

It’s the first time in eight years the Buckeyes missed the NCAA tournament. Ohio State’s streak of seven-consecutive trips to the big dance was seventh-longest in the nation.
