Kam Williams’ right wrist was a pronounced example of a hidden talent his Ohio State teammates have been waiting to see unleashed.
As a sophomore, Williams burst onto the Big Ten scene as a sharpshooter off coach Thad Matta’s bench. After showing his potential in limited spurts as a redshirt freshman, Williams shot 43.7 percent from three-point range in the 2015-16 season but turned it up for Big Ten play where his 51.5 percent mark was tops in the conference. But there was more to Williams’ game, his teammates insisted. And when he came out for Monday’s home game against Western Carolina, Williams was sporting a wrap of protective black tape on his right, shooting wrist.
